Hello!

Hi friends, we’re John Moniker, a pair of homegrown Singapore creatives! The name John Moniker was the moniker we landed on when we first started in 2017, simply because we weren’t sure who we were or what we were going to do. Burnt out from our day jobs in the creative industry, John Moniker was our outlet to daydream about cute pins and art that felt too silly to be real. Sure we knew how to differentiate our PSDs from our PTSDs but honestly, we weren’t sure if we could cut it as artists.

One of the first pins we made was Paro (short for paranoid!) the Penguin; a nervous little chick who needed floaties. It just kinda made sense… because we too were creatives trying to stay afloat and wondering if we could really make a living making art. Fast forward to today, we’re still wondering, still day dreaming and darn well still doing silly art stuff.
